An exceptionally rare and stylish grand tourer, this 1968 BMW 1600 GT represents a unique chapter in BMW’s heritage, where Italian design met German engineering. Originally crafted by Maggiora with a Frua-designed fastback body, the 1600 GT merged Glas’s original concept with BMW’s signature drivetrain refinements, making it a collectible fusion of artistry and performance.
This example is beautifully finished in its original Granada Red over Black vinyl upholstery and has undergone a meticulous restoration by European marque specialists, Oldenzaal Classics of the Netherlands. It is one of only 1,259 units ever produced and among very few known examples in the U.S.
